Artificial Intelligence (AI) team in Gdańsk is looking for complex challenges across Hapag-Lloyd’s business. We discover opportunities, quantify them, assess their feasibility and work out models, which get incorporated into various business activities. From handling invoices to optimizing vessel operations, our contribution is vital and helps to achieve a competitive edge.
We are seeking for a highly skilled AI Consultant / Analyst to provide expert advice and guidance on Machine Learning solutions and technologies to our internal clients. You will drive ideas from their discovery to execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in Machine Learning and Data Science, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The role
You will be responsible for advising internal clients on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning best practices and help them understand the applicability and added value of AI in their business areas, working closely with our AI Product Manager to understand and validate client needs, analyse and develop state-of the art AI and Machine Learning solutions to meet internal customers’ requirements, visualizing and modelling of business processes. contributing to the definition of AI Products/Platform roadmap. Your responsibilities will also include: drive AI projects with either internal and/or external teams, collaborate with other members of the AI team deliver high-quality AI and Machine Learning solutions to internal clients, definition of business cases and success metrics and tracking thereof, provide technical support and troubleshooting for solutions created and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science

Your profile
- Several years of experience in AI/Machine Learning or Data Science
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Very good command of English
- Experience working with clients and delivering custom AI and Machine Learning solutions
- Business process analysis experience
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, preferably with the use of agile methodologies
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and AI-related algorithms
- Be ready to travel to our global office locations
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role is preferred
- Experience in process modelling
- Experience in business case calculation
- Knowledge of AWS cloud platform and services is preferred
- Experience in marine logistics is a plus
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
