As part of Hapag-Lloyds IT Team, you will be maintaining and developing the Hapag-Lloyd SAP BW system, working together with the colleagues of the other SAP teams, business and IT in Gdansk, Hamburg and around the globe. The SAP Teams in Hamburg and Gdansk are currently considerably ramping up based on our mission to migrate from SAP ECC 6.8 system to SAP S/4HANA soon.
Hapag-Lloyd uses currently SAP BW 7.5 classic and SAP for Finance, Treasury, Controlling and Materials Management.
SAP Business Warehouse Specialist
You will be responsible for designing and implementing concepts in SAP Business Warehouse at Hapag-Lloyd together with the BI team and Hapag-Lloyd business , in close cooperation with different business departments in Hamburg and around the globe you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of new data models in SAP BW, for the maintenance and support of the present and future architecture of the system together with the BI team, advising the business units like controlling or accounting on the definition and implementation of reporting requirements, creating of test planning, documentation, execution of functional tests and support of functional acceptances tests and also being responsible for administration, maintenance and support of SAP BW in collaboration with third party service providers, with your creative ideas, you will act as an innovator for your team and drive new processes forward operationally, use and implement new technologies and you will actively work on your field of expertise in the system and evolving the way of working within IT and together with the business using Scrum oriented methods
Your profile
- Degree in computer science, economics or comparable training or professional experience
- Professional, long-time experience with SAP BI/BW including classic Business Explorer tools
- Very good experience in support, maintenance, conception and further development of innovative SAP BI solutions
- Deep technical understanding and knowledge in ABAP
- Knowledge of ABAP OO, CDS Views, SQL Script advantageous
- In addition, you have a basic understanding of business processes, especially in the areas of Controlling and adjacent areas like Finance and Accounting or Treasury
- You are familiar with different technologies like RPA, AI and machine learning
- Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
- A collaborative and empathic mindset to enable our business colleagues through our solutions
- Experience in agile working methods, as if Scrum is an advantage
- Strong communication skills in an international environment paired with good command of written and spoken English
